Legendary Comics Launch Kickstarter Campaign For Gundam Graphic Novel

Legendary Comics has partnered up with Rocketship to launch a Kickstarter campaign to fund the release of a Gundam graphic novel titled Gundam Breaker Battlogue: New Build.

This will be the first Gundam graphic novel produced outside of Japan that expands on the Gundam Breaker narrative. The graphic novel is based on the Gundam Breaker Battlogue anime but features a standalone story.

“We are incredibly excited to launch the Kickstarter campaign for the groundbreaking Gundam graphic novel,” said Robert Napton, SVP at Legendary Comics. “This project represents a significant milestone as the first-ever Gundam graphic novel produced entirely outside of Japan. With the combined talent of Nobuo Masuda and Nelson Daniel, we are confident that fans of the Gundam franchise will be captivated by this unique storytelling experience.”

“I am happy that our new initiative will be delivered to Gundam Fans in the U.S., and hope they enjoy the Gundam World even more through the new Graphic Novel,” said Mr. Naohiro Ogata of Bandai Namco Filmworks.

The campaign is asking for $80,000, where backers can get an exclusive hardcover variation of the product. Further, the illustrations will be by Nelson Dániel, known for his exceptional work on projects such as the Detective Pikachu graphic novel and Pacific Rim Blackout.

We’ll keep you updated on the campaign.
