PQube announced that the Compile Heart developed third-person shooter Gun Gun Pixies will launch in the west with a rating of PEGI (16), ESRB (Mature), ACB (MA+), and USK (18).
However, the question on a lot of players’ minds is whether or not content was cut or altered to release in the west. Well, the publisher was happy to report that there is “no change in content between Europe and North America, or Steam and Switch.” This was most likely in question after Sony had previously blocked the publisher from bringing over a title due to content. Gun Gun Pixies is also releasing in the west without a PlayStation Vita release, which was the console the game released on in Japan. The console holder has been more strict than in the past about the content in games released on their platform, which has caused some developers to simply bring their games to Switch and PC.
Gun Gun Pixies is a 3D title where two tiny alien girls make their way to Earth and infiltrate an all-girls college dormitory. Their mission requires them to stealthily roam around the rooms avoiding the normal-sized humans as they study their social cues and send information back to their home planet. By learning more about the way that humans interact, they will be able to save their home planet.
Gun Gun Pixies is coming to Nintendo Switch and PC in North America and Europe on September 6.
