Arc System Works has announced details for version 2.00 and Season Pass 5 of Guilty Gear Strive. The latter will cost $24.99. Meanwhile, individual character DLC packs will cost $6.99.

Version 2.00 will comprise foundational balance adjustments, alongside the addition of new special moves for specific characters. Additionally, the new Counter Blitz mechanic will debut. There will also be the Blazing Pass system, which provides in-game rewards based on progression.

Some of these rewards include the Haunted character color, accessories, and outfits. There will also be a new Vintage Metal battle UI skin, the Street Wanted Poster skin, and short stories involving the cast.

Version 2.00 and Season 5 of Guilty Gear Strive will debut on April 9, 2026, with Jam Kuradoberi as the first character. Robo-Ky is planned for Summer 2026, while two additional unknown fighters are in the works for Winter 2026 and Spring 2027.

Jam Kuradoberi will be automatically added for owners of the fifth Season Pass. Plus, she will come with the Cradled by the Four Beasts battle stage. Season 5 will later add seven colors for the four new characters, comprising 28 total skins.

Guilty Gear Strive is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
