Guilty Gear Strive Version 1.11 Update Details Adds Happy Chaos and Bug Fixes

Arc System Works shared details for Version 1.11 update of Guilty Gear: Strive coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC-via Steam on November 30, 2021.

The update allows players who own Season Pass 1 to download Happy Chaos. The character will be available for individual purchase on PS4 and PS5 on December 3 and Steam on November 30. Further, players will find Drift BGM selectable.

Further, Network Mode will include Room Customization to player Match and a fixing option to Room Customization.

Battle mechanics are a bit more specific. The developer has shared the following updates to gameplay and characters:


  • Fixed strange behavior after a successful throw crash.
  • Fixed bug where a character would be blown back in a different direction depending on the direction they were facing after beginning hit with a Pych Burst or Roman Cancel while their position completely overlaps with the opponent.
  • Fixe bug with unnatural behavior occurring after activating Roman Cancel directly after inputting the dash button.


  • Mr. Dophin (Horizontal) HS Version – Fixed a bug with the Wall Break value scaling after the Version 1.10 update.

Chipp Zanuff

  • Zansei Rouga – Fixed a bug where Chipp would sometimes land during the motion.


  • Giganter Kai – Fixed a bug where the hitbox would remain after it should no longer be active.


  • Damned Fang – Fixed a bug where the opponent would move to an unintended position after activating a Roman Cancel directly after being successfully grabbed by this move.

Romlethal Valentine

  • Fixed a bug where her swords would behave strangely under certain conditions such as after a successful throw clash, etc.


  • Fixed a bug where Jack-o’ would be unable to attack a Servant at a certain timing after the Servant lands.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes Servants would be erased by Jack-O’s attacks.
  • Fixed a bug where Servants would take an unintended trajectory after being hit by Jack-O’s Standing Close S or Standing Far S after the update to Version 1.10.

Issues with network play are also still being looked into.

Guilty Gear: Strive is the newest entry in the Guilty Gear series. The game is created by Daisuke Ishiwatari and developed by Arc System Works to bring a hybrid 2D/3D fighter to fans. The game is known for its high difficulty and beautiful combo systems where players can master characters to cause serious damage.
