Guilty Gear: Strive Ships Over 500,000 Units Worldwide; New Character to be Revealed Next Week
Arc System Works announced that Guilty Gear: Strive has shipped 500,000 units since its June 11, 2021 launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC-via Steam. Last month, the developer announced that 300,000 units had been sold, which is quite a jump for them.
Additionally, the first new playable character is coming with more information to be announced on July 20, 2021, at 6 pm PT on the developer’s YouTube channel.
The game launched with some issues on PC where players experience lag, but the developer is actively updated and patching that version of the game. Guilty Gear: Strive uses rollback net code on its online modes, which has become a standard in the fighting game community.
Guilty Gear: Strive is the newest entry in the Guilty Gear series. The game is created by Daisuke Ishiwatari and developed by Arc System Works to bring a hybrid 2D/3D fighter to fans. The game is known for its high difficulty and beautiful combo systems where players can master characters to cause serious damage.
