Guilty Gear was initially released in 1998 as a 2D fighting game for hardcore fans of the genre. The series continued this approach in its design as well as excelling in creating a pretty metal and upbeat soundtrack for every title.

Currently, the newest title in the series was released in 2017 as Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, which introduced two new playable characters and added a rebalancing update to the rest of the roster. Additionally, the updated game also released on PC and console simultaneously, which was a first for the series.

In case you missed it, the newest characters to be added to the game were Chipp and Potemkin and Millia Rage and Zato=1. Players can also check out Faust gameplay.
