Guilty Gear: Strive Reveals Open Beta Test for PS4 and PS5 Beginning February 18

Arc System Works announced that Guilty Gear: Strive will receive an open beta on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 beginning on February 18.

From 7:00 pm PST February 18th through 6:59 am PST February 21, players will be able to jump in and play across various modes. If you’ve pre-ordered the game digitally, you’ll be able to jump in Open Beta one day early on February 17th at 10:00 am PST.

Modes available during the Open Beta are:

  • Versus – Play against the CPU or another player.
  • Dojo – Tutorial and Training modes will be playable.
  • Network – Play against others from across the globe.

The Open Beta will feature 13 playable characters, and an online connection will be required to play offline modes. However, PlayStation Plus is not required to play the Open Beta online modes. Anji Mito and the 15th character will not be playable.

Guilty Gear: Strive is the newest entry in the Guilty Gear series. The game is created by Daisuke Ishiwatari and developed by Arc System Works to bring a hybrid 2D/3D fighter to fans. The game is known for its high difficulty and beautiful combo systems where players can master characters to cause serious damage.

Guilty Gear: Strive is coming to PS5, PS4, and PC-via Steam on April 6 as a Deluxe and Ultimate Edition and April 9 as a Standard Edition.
