Guilty Gear Adds Chipp and Potemkin to the Roster; Confirms English Dub at Launch

Arc System Works launched a new trailer for a brand new Guilty Gear entry to be released in 2020.

The trailer confirms that Chipp Zanuff and Potemkin will be playable characters in the upcoming fighter. Chipp uses a short blade attached to the end of his glave in combination with a Ninjutsu fighting style to defeat his opponents. He is one angry fighter, which is the complete opposite of Potemkin, who is generally slow tempered and kind, even though he might not look like it.

Guilty Gear will be playing during Arcrevo America 2019 along with 6 playable characters. Yes, that means that Chipp and Potemkin will be playable as well and the tournament is not too far off. Arcrevo America 2019 takes place in Irvine, California from November 16 through 17 at the UC Irvine Student Center.

Additionally, Daisuke Ishiwatari confirmed that the game will include an English dub along with Japanese voice-overs. The demo at the event will only feature Japanese voices.

Guilty Gear was originally created in 1998 as a 2D fighting game for hardcore fans of the genre. The series continued this approach in its design as well as excelling in creating a pretty metal and upbeat soundtrack for every title. Currently, the newest title in the series was released in 2017 as Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, which introduced 2 new playable characters and added a rebalancing update to the rest of the roster. Additionally, the updated game also released on PC and console simultaneously, which was a first for the series.
