NIS America has announced that it will release the storybook adventure game The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in the West in 2027.
The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster first launched for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch in Japan on April 30. It comes from the team behind The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince and The Cruel King and the Great Hero.
In this tale, a magical disease known as Paper Mortis turns people into picture books, and those picture books into monsters. Players follow a young girl named Mono after her sister contracts the disease.
Searching for a way to save her sister from the incurable illness, Mono joins forces with Mär, a monster seeking vengeance. Together, they travel through the Libratarium, where Mono’s sister is being kept.
Players enter different storybooks and learn the stories of the girls who became them. Progression involves solving puzzles and fighting bosses.
