Developer Glory Jam and publisher Soft Source Publishing have announced that the heavy metal-inspired action roguelite Grim Trials is coming to Switch 2, with a playable demo available now on the eShop.
The title was previously announced for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players can also try the demo on Steam.
In Grim Trials, players control Avelin, who is recruited as one of Death’s Reapers after dying prematurely. Her mission is to hunt corrupted souls and survive trials through an underworld shaped by her own memories, all in the hope of seeing her still-living love.
Players build and customize their own weapons by combining different parts to create unique combat styles. These creations can then be refined throughout each run.
The heavy metal identity extends to its soundtrack, which features original music composed by Indonesian metal band Sigmun. The Switch 2 version also supports enhanced haptic feedback.
Grim Trials is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. A release date has not yet been announced.
