Gal Gun 2D Action Spinoff ‘Grim Guardians: Demon Purge’ Now Available on PS4, PS5, Xbox, Switch & PC; Celebratory Artwork

Developer Inti Creates announced that their 2D action game Grim Guardians: Demon Purge is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam for $24.99.

Although fans who plan to purchase the title on Xbox or Steam can benefit from a 10% launch discount lasting until March 1, 2023.

This “gothic-horror-inspired adventure “tells the story of two demon hunters named Shinobu Kamizono and Maya Kamizono, who rise to challenge the demon castle that appeared where their school used to be. During gameplay, players will switch between the two characters on the fly to access their unique abilities. This mechanic is crucial for taking on platforming sections and boss encounters. Fans of Inti Creates will know these characters as the stars of Gal*Gun: Double Peace. 

Further, the game features a 2-players co-op mode where players can play simultaneously. There are also various difficulty options called the “Style System,” but players can expect a challenge for veteran players. The title is influenced by classic Castlevania entries, too.

The game’s standard physical edition is planned to launch in Spring 2023, while the collector’s edition, detailed below, is expected to ship in the Summer of 2023.
