PQube announced they will publish the Studica Solution and Electric Monkeys-developed 2D arena shooter, Gravity Heroes, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam in Q1 2021.
Gravity Heroes is a 2D arena shooter where players can manipulate gravity as they take down enemies and loot randomly dropped weapons and power-ups. The game resembles a retro 2D action game with a few unique features. During a level, players can walk up and down walls as they dodge enemy projectiles and unleash their arsenal on the various robotic foes.
The story of Gravity Heroes is centered around a conflict between humans and Synthetics, which are pretty much robots who are capable of reproducing. The two have lived peacefully together for years thanks to a pact, but something is causing the Synthetics to raise arms against the humans and threaten to reignite the discord. A special task force is formed called Gravity Heroes to put a stop to it.
The developer currently has a demo of the game available on Steam. This allows players to play a portion of the game and preview its gravity and shooting mechanics.
Additionally, the publisher released a trailer showing the game’s characters and levels.
