GungHo has announced that the PlayStation version of the Grandia HD Collection has been updated to version 1.0.0.40.
The description of this update states that the team has remedied memory issues in Grandia II to provide a “smoother, more stable adventure.”
Grandia HD Collection is available on PC, Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The original Grandia is also available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as a classic title.
Players can anticipate enhanced UI, sprites, texture art, widescreen support, and improved cinematics. Further, Grandia II features a Hard Mode, and the collection will include audio options for Japanese and English, as well as submitted language support for English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Achievements and trophies that match the Steam achievements are also present.
Grandia tells the story of Justin, who is out exploring the ruins of an Angelou Civilization. Upon arriving, he is requested to travel east and find out the secret of why this ancient civilization disappeared. The game was developed by Game Arts, the developer of the Lunar series, and features a turn-based battle system and classic RPG storytelling. Players can anticipate over 80 hours of gameplay, 80 magic spells and techniques, and over 200 weapons and items.
