Grandia and Grandia II HD Remaster Announced to Be Playable at PAX West

GungHo Online Entertainment America announced plans to bring new titles to Nintendo Switch in 2018 including, the remastered release of a classic RPG franchise titled Grandia + Grandia II HD Remaster.

Grandia + Grandia II HD Remaster will be available as a combo pack and feature the systems that were implemented in 2015’s release of Grandia II Anniversary Edition on PC-via Steam. Furthermore, Grandia HD will also be released on PC with further details to come.

Grandia tells the story of Justin, who is out exploring the ruins of an Angelou Civilization. Upon arriving, he is requested to travel eas and find out the secret of why this ancient civilization disappeared. Being developed by Game Arts, players will find battle systems that resemble Lunar: The Silver Star, which is another series from the developer.

Grandia II stars a main character named Ryudo who must guard the sister of Granas, Elena, during her rite to reseal an ancient god. Throughout their mission, the group encounters several setbacks that might jeopardize the entire rite. Grandia II’s battle system is similar to Grandia and features a few upgraded systems.

Additionally, the publisher announced that Ninjala will also make its way onto Switch. The game features Ninja fighters in a cartoonish world with various multiplayer modes.

The publisher has also added that these titles will be playing to PAX West attendees, along with the recently announced Let it Die on PC and Puzzle & Dragons on mobile.
