Grandia HD Collection Receives New Update Improving Frame Rate and More
Gungho Online announced that Grandia HD Collection has been updated on Nintendo Switch, with the PC-via Steam versions of the collection also receiving the update.
Titled patch 1.01.00, the update will implement Japanese language support, improved frame rate optimization, enhanced visual effects throughout, and additional bug fixes. The patch is available for free now to all players.
Additionally, each SKU is now available in Japan. To celebrate the release in Japan, the team has put together some memories from the developers who worked on the games such as director Toshiaki Hontani, narrative designer Kei Shigema, main scenario writer Takashi Hino, composer Noriyuki Iwadare, character designer Youshi Kanoe, voice actors Fujiko Takimoto (Justin), and Noriko Hidaka (Feena).
Grandia tells the story of Justin, who is out exploring the ruins of an Angelou Civilization. Upon arriving, he is requested to travel east and find out the secret of why this ancient civilization disappeared. The game was developed by Game Arts, the developer for the Lunar series, and features a turn-based battle system and classic RPG storytelling.
Grandia HD Remaster includes exclusive Steam cards and achievement, along with Widescreen support and customizable resolutions. Players will also be able to remap the controls on the keyboard and gamepad.
Grandia HD Collection on Nintendo Switch features enhanced visuals and fully supports the hybrid system. This collection on Switch will include both Grandia HD Remaster and Grandia II HD Remaster.
