Rockstar Games has announced that the debut trailer for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI has achieved a staggering 93 million views on YouTube across just 24 hours. This makes the video the most-viewed trailer launch of all time and also sets a new view record for a non-music video debut.
Leo Olebe, Global Head of YouTube Gaming, stated the following about this achievement:
“The Grand Theft Auto series has been at the epicenter of entertainment for decades and we expect the YouTube community and its creators to reach new heights for years to come with Grand Theft Auto VI. Setting this new all-time record is a testament to the cultural impact of the series and demonstrates why YouTube is the leading destination for gaming content and pop culture.”
