Server for Grand Kingdom Online Mode “Wars” to be Shut Down
NIS America announced that the Monochrome Corporation developed tactical RPG Grand Kingdom will shut down its online servers of October 1.
After nearly four years of support, both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita servers will shut down. This will only affect the online portion on of the game. Knowns as Wars, players were able to expand their territory in the game and fight against other players. During gameplay, invaders would also pop up and force players to defend their ground. It was a unique feature and I personally found it fun.
The publisher added a statement:
We would like to thank each and everyone one of our fans who set out for fortune and victory in the war-torn Resonail. Whichever of the Four Great Nations you represented, we hope that you’ll cherish the battles won and lost, and continue to enjoy the offline features of Grand Kingdom.
Grand Kingdom is set in the continent of Resonail where four nations are at war. Players will assume the role as a rookie mercenary who finds the power to unite the region, but it doesn’t come without a few fights along the way. Battles and party customization are the main selling point in the game and feature fast tactical RPG action.
Grand Kingdom is available now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
