RPG Brawler ‘Grand Alliance’ Launches in the West With New Trailer
Crunchyroll Games and VIZ Media announced that their original RPG brawler, Grand Alliance is available now in the west on iOS and Android devices.
“The publishing of ‘Grand Alliance’ represents a new step for Crunchyroll Games, as this is our first title not based on existing IP or known storyline,” said Terry Li, head of 360 and general manager of Games at Crunchyroll. “As part of this experimental foray, we have created a rich, compelling world with VIZ Media and Gaudium and we can’t wait for new fans to start exploring.”
Grand Alliance is an amine-style RPG brawler that takes place in a world that is on the brink of war. It’s been discovered that the Imperial family has been assassinated and a tyrant is now controlling the Alcyon Empire, which creates a power struggle between the five noble houses. Players will follow the story of Amelia, the last surviving heir to the throne, as she aims to unite the country and bring an end to the killing.
The gameplay has players participate in real-time battles as they control a squad of three heroes and fight across an isometric battlefield. Players will be able to customize these units with various skills that they are able to use against enemies, but their is a layer of strategy required to get through most fights. Also, there’s a PvP arena where players can bring up to nine heroes and fight against other players.
Andrew Yang, CEO at Gaudium shares, “We’re extremely excited to be partnering with Crunchyroll and VIZ Media to get ‘Grand Alliance’ out to the world. The development team has poured their hearts into making this game fun and exciting for anime fans and mobile gamers alike. With Crunchyroll at the helm, we’re sure it will get into the hands of many passionate gamers who will fall in love with the world of ‘Grand Alliance’.”
