Granblue Fantasy: Versus Reveals “RPG Mode” Which Changes the Game to Play More Like an Action RPG

XSEED Games revealed a new mode in the Cygames and Arc System Works developed fighting game, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, coming to PlayStation 4 in 2019.

The new mode is named RPG Mode which allows players to play through the fighting game as if it were an action RPG. This mode will follow an original Granblue Fantasy: Versus storyline full of cutscenes and boss battles against iconic Granblue antagonists. Additionally, there will also be a fully developed training system which gives players a chance to familiarize themselves with the new mode.

The developer released a new trailer detailing the mode and how players will approach this unique way of playing through the game. Also, players can get a preview of the events and map system with the new mode.

Granblue Fantasy: Versus is a 2D fighter with characters representing from the Granblue IP fighting it out across various stages. The developer states that this will be a “new era of fighting games” with new balance systems and focus on sound and visuals.

Granblue Fantasy: Versus is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2019.
