The official Japanese Twitter account for the upcoming Granblue Fantasy: Relink has shared a celebratory New Year’s message, as well as the notice that the first-ever gameplay showing and information about the forthcoming game will all be revealed live on stage on the 21st of January.
In case you are not aware, a 2022 release was planned, but in June of 2022, the developers announced that additional time was necessary to “polish up the experience.”
Their full tweet reads as follows:
“Happy New Year! Development is now in its final stages. The entire development team is working hard to improve the quality of the game to make it the best it can be. At this month’s Granblue Fes, we will be showing brand-new footage [of Granblue Fantasy: Relink] for the first time and revealing new information about it live on stage on the 21st of January! Stay tuned!”
Hopefully, this means we’ll see a release date soon because I’m very excited to play this game. You can view the aforementioned tweet below:

Currently, not much is known about the story of Granblue Fantasy: Relink, but it will feature sizeable scall-action RPG scenarios. Players will form parties with memorable characters from the series, but the game will actually take place in a fictional realm not connected. This also means that there’s a chance new characters will be introduced at a later date.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink is in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
