Gotham Knights Climactic Cinematic Launch Trailer; 30 FPS on Console
Warner Bros and DC have shared the official cinematic launch trailer for their cooperative action-adventure title, Gotham Knights, ahead of the game’s release later this month. Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood are each highlighted alongside a tease of the group seemingly set to be the primary antagonists, the Court of Owls.
UPDATE: The game’s official Discord server has announced that the title will run at 30 FPS on the console. The full message from the executive producer is below:
“I know many of you are wondering about the availability of a performance mode for Gotham Knights on consoles. Due to the types of features we have in our game, like providing a fully untethered co-op experience in our highly detailed open-world, it’s not as straightforward as lowering the resolution and getting a higher FPS. For this reason, our game does not have a performance/quality toggle option and will run at 30FPS on consoles.”

Gotham Knights has players assume the role of Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood, or Bat Girl. Bruce Wayne and James Gordon have seemingly perished, and it’s up to Bruce’s proteges to stop Gotham City from descending into complete lawlessness. Iconic villains like Mr. Freeze, the Penguin, and the more recent Court of Owls appear in Gotham Knights, with the Court of Owls seemingly playing a large role in the story.
Gotham Knights can be played alone or with a friend, as you can jump in and out of a session with a friend. There are RPG elements, like levelling up your characters to make them the crime-fighting legends they are in the comic books. Though this is made by the same studio as Arkham Origins, it does not take place in the Arkham continuity.
Gotham Knights is releasing for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on October 25, 2022.
