Narrative Adventure ‘Goodbye World’ Gets November Release

During the Nintendo Indie World Showcase in November 2022, PM Studios and Flyhigh Works announced that the Yo Fujii-developed narrative adventure Goodbye World will be coming to Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in November 2022. Yes, that’s later this month.

Goodbye World follows programmer and game designer Kanii and graphic designer and scenario writer Kumade who are working on an indie game. The two have been working on this project for quite some time and using the earning from their previous game to fund it. However, Kanii has been going through a creator block and hasn’t done anything in two years. With time running out and money runny dry, they must get it together to finish their project.

Goodbye World is a narrative adventure game that takes place across 13 chapters. The game follows two game creators who must overcome obstacles in the form of in-game puzzles. There are also platforming sections that have players navigate environments to progress.

There is no combat in the game, and it is entirely conversation-based. Some mini-games consist of 12 stages developed by the in-game creators. The game will advance to the next stage as you progress the narrative.
