Level Infinite has announced that their mobile free-to-play sci-fi RPG shooter, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE “has won awards in 3 categories and received 3 honorable mentions in Google Play’s Best of 2023.
In particular, it won “Best Game of 2023 by the Korean Google Play store,” “Best Story of 2023 in the Korean Google Play store, and Best Games for Tablets of 2023 in Google Play stores across multiple territories, including Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Indonesia.”
Further, honorable mentions were received for “Best Multiplayer (HK and TW), Best for Tablets (KR), and Best Story (JP, ID, TH and SG).”
Yoo Hyung-Seok, Director of SHIFTUP, stated the following:
“We are extremely proud to see GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE recognized in several categories across the Google Play store in Korea and around the world. It is an honor to be awarded with such prestigious titles.
Thanks to the Commanders (players) who have shown unwavering love to NIKKE since its launch last year. In the future, GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE will continue to bring more amazing content, gameplay, and touching stories to players around world!”
The game will receive a Winter-themed update running between December 7 and December 28, 2023. It will include the following:
“…two new, limited-time characters Ludmilla: Winter Owner (Dec. 7) and Mica: Snow Buddy (Dec. 14), a new story event NEVERLAND with a new 3D map, and a brand-new Mini Game mode Snowfall Oasis designed in galgame style.”
The game features third-person shooting systems. Players are able to control one of the characters as they take cover behind objects and shoot down giant robots. Similar to Project EVE, NIKKI is based in a post-apocalyptic world that has been overrun with robots from a different universe.
The game’s plot takes an unexpected twist when Nikke discovers that her own lineage is intertwined with the fate of Aetheria. She is seemingly guided by the wisdom of her celestial mentor and armed with an array of customizable weapons and spells. Nikke’s journey unfolds through themes of self-discovery, courage, and triumph. They’re also all really cute girls, so I’m sure that helps the overall adventure.
