God Eater 3 Has Launched, Start Taking Down Aragami Like a Champ
Today, Bandai Namco has released God Eater 3 in the Americas for PS4 and PC-via Steam for $59.99. We happened to like God Eater 3 a lot, giving it an 8.8 out of 10, so we highly recommend that you pick it up, and start taking down Aragami like a champ. Aragami ain’t got nothing on us God Eaters, right?
In God Eater 3, players take on the role of a God Eater, the last line of defense against the monstrous beings known as Aragami which have devastated the world. What makes God Eaters so special compared just mere humans is that they have special abilities to wield God Arc weapons, the only known weapons that can destroy the Aragami. God Arc weapons come in all shapes and sizes, some are better suited for up-close-and-personal combat like swords and shotguns, while others, such as sniper rifles, are best for ranged combat. God Eater series fans will find exciting new weapons, which are dual bladed and Heavy Moon weapons, in God Eater 3. These new weapons each have the ability to transform at will, and transforming them during battle gives players more attack options and damage.
What’s also new with God Eater 3 is how it incorporates new combat mechanics and customization options to create dynamic fights that change the flow of battles. After devouring an enemy, players can activate Burst Arts that change all normal attacks into special attacks — think of it as like a power-up ability. Since there are several Burst Arts that each have their own effects, players will need to figure out which Burst Arts are right for them. Many of God Eater 3‘s features are very deep, which is one of the main reasons why we enjoy playing it so much. Several of the new features aren’t introduced right from the get-go, but once players play for a bit, they’ll be able to truly make use of all of the added features in the game.
In our review, we mentioned how God Eater 3 is a game that fans have been waiting for, but it’s also an excellent entry point for newcomers. Jackie Simmons, Brand Manager at Bandai Namco, further elaborated on this via a press release, “God Eater 3 continues Bandai Namco’s mantra of ‘more fun for everyone’ by providing a rich world and exciting combat encounters for friends to share.”
Players can gather around three friends, fight with other God Eaters, or simply fight solo in story missions — or choose to combine forces with seven other God Eaters for an Assault Mission. There’s nothing wrong with fighting solo, but cooperating and fighting as a team can help engage the Battle Support System, a new powerful ability that can only be unleashed when fighting next to teammates. It’s epic, to the say the least.
