God Eater 3 Gets Dual Audio Support, A First for the Series in the West

Bandai Namco announced that God Eater 3 will support both English and Japanese audio when it releases on PlayStation 4 and PC-via Steam in early 2019.

A first for the series in the west, God Eater typically would release with English being the only voiceover option. Even in the early days for the series on the PSP, English audio was what fans of the series have grown used to, but it seems that all is about to change.

Additionally, God Eater 3 received new screenshots that highlight the “Ash Aragami” that players will encounter during the game. Also, the screenshots give a better look at the new characters and battle screens.

God Eater 3 takes players to the frontline of a war against the Aragami who threaten the human race. Players will assume the role of a prisoner who must take an AGE test where he will be assessed to wield a God Arc, the only weapon capable of taking down an Aragami.

In case you missed it, a recent trailer was released during TGS 2018 showing story gameplay and characters.

Author’s take: God Eater is a series that I have always found enjoyment in. It’s when this team pushes the limits of the game’s core mechanics that this series shines. However, that hasn’t been the case with the latest entries in the series that opted to simply re-use assets and deliver a product that could have been way better. When it comes to the dual audio, it’s a cool adition for fans who want it, but I’m cool with the English audio.
