Earlier today, Gio Corsi announced via a post on X (formerly Twitter) that he had begun a new position earlier this week with Nintendo of America as part of their Third Party AAA Portfolio Management team. The industry veteran Corsi has previously held roles as Head of Commercial at Iron Galaxy Studios, Head of Publishing and Business Development at IllFonic, and Head of Global Second Party Games with PlayStation.
Corsi’s post on X is as follows:
This week I began my new gig filled with fun & adventure! I’ve joined the @NintendoAmerica AAA 3rd Party Portfolio Mgmt crew to help great teams bring their amazing games to this legendary platform! On a personal note, Papa Mario is very proud! Here we go!!!
Corsi brings years of experience and expertise with him to Nintendo of America as the organization is anticipated to be working on a new upcoming console.
Here at Noisy Pixel, we would like to wish Gio Corsi all the best in his new role at Nintendo of America.

This could be great … though I hope Gio Corsi (whom I respect for his past management work) has maintained connections with Japanese 3rd party publishers in addition to western ones. If Switch2 has the processing power, it should be one of the best places to play almost every Japanese game … as long as Nintendo manage those 3rd party partnerships well.
