Rising Star Games announced that the Game Freak developed physics-based action platformer Giga Wrecker Alt. will launch on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One on April 30, May 2, and May 3, respectively.
Known for working on Pokemon titles, Game Freak originally launched Giga Wrecker onto PC in 2017. Now, Giga Wrecker Alt. will get new content from the developer exclusive for the console release. Players will now find 20 additional puzzle stages to platform their way through. Another new mode, Ironman, has also been added that increases the enemy’s strength as well as a companion character to guide players through some of the more difficult stages. The game has also been re-localized. This content will not be added to the PC version of the game.
During gameplay, players will smash down walls and use the rubble to get through stages and create platforms to new areas, all while fighting monsters. Structures in the game can be used to crush enemies and some levels will have unique gimmicks that the player will need to utilize in order to get through. Players assume the role of Reika who has a power called ARM which grants her these abilities. Throughout the game, she will get new weapons that do different things.
