Bethesda announced that the Tango Gameworks-developed Ghostwire: Tokyo series has received a companion visual novel titled Ghostwire: Tokyo – Prelude.
Ghostwire: Tokyo – Prelude is available now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, with a PC release launching on March 8, 2022. The visual novel experience aims to allow players the chance to meet the cast before the game releases and discover their relationship. The story is a central part of this adventure so understanding these characters could enhance the game.
This is a rather cool announcement from this developer since the visual novel genre is so niche. Being able to introduce an entirely new crowd to the genre based on the hype of this upcoming game is admirable. We’ll be sure to download and share our impressions of the visual novel in case you don’t have the time.
Ghostwire: Tokyo features a narrative revolving around strange disappearances in Tokyo. Players will need to find the source of the evil and purge the city using their own special abilities. The game features a story intertwined with occult leaders, conspiracy theories, and legend.
