Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection and Capcom Arcade Stadium Releasing for Nintendo Switch in February 2021
Capcom has announced two brand new titles during the Game Awards 2020 Live Presentation. Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection has been announced for Nintendo Switch and is releasing on February 25, 2021. It will be released digitally across North America and Europe on Nintendo Switch for $29.99.
This title is a tribute to the original Ghosts ‘n Goblins that released 35 years ago. The valiant knight Arthur returns and will be platforming his way across the Demon Realm, a demonic fantasy world. There will be various obstacles and foes that Arthur will have to face to rescue the princess from the treacherous grasp of the Demon Lord. Squire, Knight, and Legend difficulties have been confirmed. Page mode has also been confirmed, allowing untested apprentices to respawn on the spot with unlimited lives.
Capcom Arcade Stadium was also announced will include 32 classic titles, including a free download of 1943 – The Battle of Midway – and the original Ghosts ‘n Goblins as a stand-alone add-on. There will be 3 different, purchasable arcade packs highlighting notable eras for Capcom. These eras include ‘80s classics like Bionic Commando and Strider to ‘90s favorites like Super Street Fighter II Turbo. The all-in-pack will include all 3 packs of games. Game Speed, Difficulty Level, Display Settings, Display Filters, and various frames, including various 3D-rendered arcade cabinets, will be included as title modernization options. Rewinding from death and 4 players, local cooperative play will also be featured.
