Cyberpunk Action Game ‘Ghostrunner’ Gets Switch Release Date Alongside New PC Demo Announcement
All in! Games announced that the first-person cyberpunk parkour action game, Ghostrunner, from developers 3D Realms, One More Level Games, and Slipgate Ironworks will launch on Nintendo Switch on October 29, a few days after the release of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on October 27.
The publisher released a new trailer to give players a look at the game running on Switch hardware, which probably wasn’t the easiest thing to do. After watching the gameplay, it looks decent and we’re excited to be able to take this action game on the go.
Additionally, a new demo will be available on September 27 that allows players to play more of the game early on PC. This includes New sword animation, updated graphics, and leaders. Players can apply for an early private beta now.
Ghostrunner has players assume the role of a cyber-warrior in the midst of a revolution in what is known as Tower-City. Players are able to slice their way through enemies using a host of abilities and skills.
Throughout the game, players will travel up the Dharma Tower, which used to be a temporary shelter. However, now, the building represents a caste system where the lower floors represent how low your status is. At the top, sits the Keymaster, who has just become the target of the Ghostrunner.
Players will join the resistance known as the Climbers who must travel each level of the tower and do their best to survive.
