Saber Interactive announced that they will be working on Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered, an HD re-release of the action-adventure game from 2009.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered will include the unique story from Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis who aim to capture the supernatural comedy that fans have grown to love. Additionally, the game will retain all the voiced character dialog from the original cast.
Players will assume the role of a rookie Ghostbuster who has recently joined the crew. After being introduced to the whole team, Manhattan begins to be overrun by ghosts and other paranormal creatures. It’s up to the player to drive the evil back and help the Ghostbusters retake the city and figure out who summoned these creatures.
As for the remastered version of the game, it seems like the team is mostly focused on a visual overhaul of the original. For those who don’t remember, the Wii version of the game was a completely different experience than what the other consoles at the time received, so this will be the first time this version of the game is released on a Nintendo platform.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is scheduled to release in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via the Epic Store.
