HoYoverse has just made available the Version 4.1 Update for Genshin Impact for Mobile, PC and PlayStation users. While the game is still under maintenance until 11 PM EST, you can already download and update the files and immediately get started when the servers are up. On PC, around 14 GB of free space is required, while on PS5, roughly 27 GB are required.
In this new update, the northern area of Fontaine opens up, allowing players to explore the Fortress of Meropide, a mysterious underwater locale that harbors exiles and enigmatic secrets from all corners of Fontaine. In the latest Archon Quest, players will embark on a quest to find Childe within this intriguing setting. Amidst the adventure, players will encounter the Allogravity-Condensed Water Bodies and remnants of a perilous experiment conducted by the Fontaine Research Institute to combat a prophesied flood.
Once maintenance concludes, the first wave of Wish banners will become available. The first banner features Neuvilette, Fontaine’s Chief Justice, who can deliver potent Hydro damage with charged attacks, alongside a rerun banner for Hu Tao, Wangsheng Funeral Parlor’s director. In the second half of Version 4.1, players can pull for Wriothesley, the Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide, who excels in melee combat, dealing Cryo damage, alongside a rerun banner featuring Venti.
In Version 4.1, a brand-new system of Daily Commissions has been added. Now, players can obtain Encounter Points, which can be used to collect commission rewards instead of doing Daily Commissions. These Encounter Points can be obtained from a multitude of ways, from opening chests to exploring new areas. In addition, several bug fixes were applied to make the experience much better.
And Genshin Impact’s 3rd anniversary is coming up soon on September 28, so to celebrate, Primogems as well as other free rewards will be given to all players through a login bonus. This includes 10 Intertwined Fates and up to 1,600 Primogems, so make sure to login so you don’t miss out.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world adventure RPG that brings players to the visually stunning world of Teyvat. The player takes on the role of the mysterious “Traveler,” who sets off on a journey to discover the fate of their lost sibling and unveils the mysterious secrets of Teyvat along the way.
Starting from Version 4.0, players can explore five of the seven major cities in Teyvat: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, and Fontaine, each with unique cultures, stories, and vast surrounding landscapes, and offering a diversity of creatures, monsters, secrets, and hidden treasures for players to discover. Version 4.1 is currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via the Epic Games Store or Genshin Impact’s official website and mobile via the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.
