Genshin Impact Version 4.1 Launch September 27; New Trailer Highlight Expanded Areas and Stories of Fontaine
miHoYo announced that Genshin Impact version 4.1 will be available on September 27, 2023.
The update is titled “To the Stars Shining in the Depths,” which aims to expand northward, where the main story continues with Neuvillette and Wriothesley joining the cast of playable characters, as well as the Fatui Harbinger “Arlecchino” making her debut. Rewards, including Intertwined Fates ×10, Primogems ×1,600, and 2 exclusive gadgets, will be issued as Genshin Impact celebrates its three-year anniversary with fans and players around the world.
Genshin Impact Version 4.1 brings fresh revelations and challenges for players to delve into. The Court of Fontaine, a prosperous addition, continues to expand the game’s universe. This update takes players to the northern area, where they can explore the Fortress of Meropide, a mysterious underwater locale that harbors exiles and enigmatic secrets from all corners of Fontaine. In the latest Archon Quest, players will embark on a quest to find Childe within this intriguing setting. Amidst the adventure, players will encounter the “Allogravity-Condensed Water Bodies” and remnants of a perilous experiment conducted by the Fontaine Research Institute to combat a prophesied flood.
However, players should be prepared for peril as they navigate the new underwater area and ruins. The formidable “Millennial Pearl Seahorse” awaits, wielding Electro damage and offering a formidable challenge. Another adversary, the “Experimental Field Generator,” represents an out-of-control research device designed to counteract gravity’s effects, granting players enhanced mobility and posing its own set of dangers.
Two prominent Fontaine characters, now playable as five-star Catalyst users, have their own Story Quests for players to explore. Neuvillette, the Iudex of Fontaine, can deliver potent Hydro damage with charged attacks, while Wriothesley, the Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide, excels in melee combat, dealing Cryo damage. Both characters have unique mechanics where they consume health for certain attacks and subsequently recover it. Neuvillette and Hu Tao will be featured in the first round of Event Wishes, followed by Wriothesley and Venti.
Aside from the Fontaine adventures, players can participate in a poetry festival in Mondstadt and Liyue, a chance to reunite with friends and celebrate the themes of friendship and love. The festival introduces various mini-games and a special 4-star Catalyst as a reward. As the third anniversary of Genshin Impact approaches, players can anticipate additional rewards, including up to ten Intertwined Fates and other bonuses through the daily login event. Moreover, Version 4.1 offers Primogems, Fragile Resin, and two unique gadgets through in-game mailboxes, enhancing the player experience.
Genshin Impact Version 4.1 will be arriving on September 27. With cross-progression and Co-Op functions, players can enjoy their adventure across PlayStation, PC, Android, and iOS.
