Genshin Impact Version 3.7 Update Launching Late May 2023; New Events & Quests

During the Version 3.7 Special Program, developer HoYoverse revealed the details of the twenty-fourth Version Update for Genshin Impact, titled Duel! The Summoners’ Summit!, arriving soon on May 24, 2023. In this update, players can expect to see the King of Invokations Grand Prix main event, more than 60 brand-new TCG cards, and a new playable four-star character Kirara, to be added to the roster.

The King of Invokation Grand Prix attracts numerous visitors, including card players, tourists, and even a reporter from Fontaine at its venues and celebrations in multiple areas. Working for the famous Fontaine newspaper The Steambird, Charlotte will not only cover the tournament but also investigate into a strange case on-site, and players can join her and meet characters from various nations in the event storyline.

Meanwhile, the Adventurers’ Guild has prepared several events, regardless of whether you’re a TCG player or not. Card players of all levels can attend the unofficial tourney Zero Hour Invokation and duel with a selection of cards. Visitors who are interested in Genius Invokation can also try out the returning Evermotion Mechanical Painting, where you restore card illustrations from complex and disordered mechanics and gears. There’s also Heart of the Dice, a combat challenge where random Elemental Dice can be obtained to unleash special skills.

Continuing in the list of events, we have the Tour of Wonders event, where we’ll have a sightseeing parkour and an enemies-clearing tour as you collect commemorative stamps at the checkpoints to exchange for rewards. By finishing the events above, players can win Invokation Coupons to redeem rewards, including the free Ibis Piercer 4-star Bow.

As the update name implies, a major update to Genshin Impact’s Genius Invokation TCG mode will be implemented, adding a new PvP (player-versus-player) mode, and a PvE (player-versus-environment) mode. Character Cards of all four Archons as well as a larger selection of characters, monsters, weapons, and artifacts will also be added. In this PvP mode, players will need to secure a total of 5 wins, with 3 losses will result in you having to start over from the beginning. In the PvE mode, The Forge Realm’s Temper, players can select the difficulty level and additional conditions to score extra points.

Next, a new 4-star Dendro sword user Kirara, will make her debut in the first half of Event Wishes in Version 3.7, alongside a rerun of Yae Miko and Yoimiya’s banners. Kaedehara Kazuha and Alhaitham will also make a return on the second half of banners. Kirara can use her nekomata talents in two ways: she can create a Dendro shield with a flying kick, or she further transforms into an Urgent Neko Parcel to move more quickly and deal Dendro damage when she encounters opponents. When she unleashes her Elemental Burst, Kirara will bash her enemies with a special package that splits into many small Dendro bombs that deal additional Dendro damage.

Yoimiya will also be getting the second act of her story quest, Carassius Auratus, where she’ll be visiting the Nation of Wisdom, Sumeru. Furthermore, players can also hang out and learn more about Kaveh, as his Hangout Event also becomes available.

Lastly, but certainly not least, a small teaser clip was shown at the end of the Special Program, showing a locale underwater and the Traveler diving. This is most likely a teaser for the next major expansion update, which will be adding the Nation of Justice, Fontaine. I am certainly looking forward to seeing what we’ll do in that nation.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world adventure RPG that brings players to the visually stunning world of Teyvat. The player takes on the role of the mysterious “Traveler,” who sets off on a journey to discover the fate of their lost sibling and unveils the mysterious secrets of Teyvat along the way.

Starting from Version 3.0, players can explore Sumeru, as well as Mondstadt, Liyue Harbor, and Inazuma, three of the seven major cities in Teyvat, each with unique cultures, stories, and vast surrounding landscapes, and offering a diversity of creatures, monsters, secrets, and hidden treasures for players to discover. Version 3.7 will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via the Epic Games Store or Genshin Impact’s official website and mobile via the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android on May 24, 2023.
