Genshin Impact Prepares for Version 1.3 Launch With New Trailer Introducing Xiao

miHoYo launched a new trailer for their action RPG Genshin Impact, which focuses on the Version 1.3 Update releasing on February 3 on PlayStation 4, PC, and iOS and Android devices.

The trailer, titled “All That Glitters,” gives fans a glimpse of what’s to come in the version 1.3 update. One significant addition of the update allows players to add Xiao to their party, and we can watch a brief showcase of his skills in the trailer. Xiao is a 5-star character who utilizes a polearm and the power of Anemo.

The trailer also highlights the new “Theater Mechanicus,” which seems like some kind of new dungeon mechanic. New customization features will also be introduced in the update, including an Archive that lists defeated enemies and NPCs along with a gadget called “Parametric Transformer,” which provided a means of transmuting excess resources, turning them into something more useful.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world action RPG where you will play as a young protagonist known as the traveler. During gameplay, players will explore and climb various buildings and locations and battle monsters around the game’s open world. This game is definitely inspired by titles like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Breath of the Wild just by its look, but the models and animations are very similar to Honkai Impact 3rd.
