Developer HoYoverse recently published yet another brand-new video to their YouTube channel, previewing the brand-new region that players will get to explore in Genshin Impact’s Version 3.0 update. This time, the video focuses on the main design aesthetics that players will have to look out for as they explore the Dendro Nation.
Sumeru has two key parts: The rainforest area, surrounded by ancient trees, rivers, and exotic plants, and the desert area’s dry realm of dust and sand further west. The video also comments on the design team’s main considerations when drawing the two locales. According to Jax Huang, the primary goal was to provide a perfect balance between fantasy, realism, and exoticism.
