miHoYo has launched a new video of their action RPG Genshin Impact which highlights the performance enhancements of the PlayStation 5 version launching on April 28, 2021.
The trailer goes into detail about what players will find in the PS5 version, but they still plan to update the game further as this is just the foundation of what they have planned for the next-gen console. Some enhancements available when the PS5 version launches are the draw distance has been extended and players can see that all in native 4k resolution. Players with HDR displays can also see an enhancement in the visuals.
Further, loading times have been significantly cut down. The team also mentioned that PS5 players can enjoy an exclusive version of Qingyun Peak. Given the popularity of the mountain peak, the location has received a makeover to survive PS5 gamers.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world action RPG that brings players to the visually stunning world of Teyvat. The player takes on the role of the mysterious “Traveler,” who sets off on a journey to discover the fate of their lost sibling and unveils the mysterious secrets of Teyvat along the way.
Currently, players can explore both Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor, two of the seven major cities in Teyvat, each with unique cultures, stories, and vast surrounding landscapes, and offering a diversity of creatures, monsters, secrets, and hidden treasures for players to discover. Further cities, stories, characters, and seasonal events will be released as the game progresses.
