The Genshin Impact Keyboard Featuring Keqing Has Me Questioning My Life Choices
Have you ever wanted to own a keyboard styled after Genshin Impact’s Keqing? It looks like developer Mihoyo is trying to get in on the mechanical keyboard market with her. Even as a player who has Keqing, I still question if I should pony up the cash for this keyboard just to have it.
Announced by Mihoyo with a June 1 release date on the Chinese market for the asking price of 868 Chinese Yuan (which is currently about $136.30), this mechanical keyboard features TTC keycaps customized and themed after Keqing. The keyboard will also come with swappable keycaps that you can manually insert and connect to your PC with a USB Type-C cable.
One of the custom keycaps is for the Q and E keys, which are replaced by icons representing Keqing’s Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill respectively. You can also swap the Esc key with an Electro Vision keycap, among many others.
Now, fans commented about their qualms with the printed keycaps, as they tend to fade over a long period of use. This, in turn, could lead to the Keqing render being reduced to a blur if you use the keyboard frequently. However, the marketing team and PR have claimed that the high-quality prints are rather resistant and won’t easily deteriorate.
I wonder if they’ll release a similar keyboard featuring my boy Childe…oh well. Who can say?
