genDESIGN and Epic Games Publishing have officially unveiled the single-player sci-fi action-adventure game gen ATLAS, the next title from Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian creator Fumito Ueda.
The title is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
The announcement trailer introduces players to an abandoned planet where the protagonist awakens alone with no understanding of how they arrived. The world is filled with enormous structures, deserted facilities, and remnants of an unknown civilization.
As players explore, they encounter a robot that grants access to previously unreachable locations and fundamental world interaction.
Fumito Ueda, CEO and creative director of genDESIGN, stated the following:
