During Microsoft’s E3 2019 Briefing, developer The Coalition took the stage to reveal that Gears 5 will launch on Xbox One and PC on September 10.
Leading up to the launch, the developer revealed new information about the game and additional modes that players can experience. First off, the game will receive a multiplayer technical test for players to take on the titles versus offering to begin on July 17.
Additionally, during Gamescom 2019 in August, players will be able to play through Horde Mode, which will be a public showcase of the mode. The developer also revealed a new mode called “Escape” where players will assume the role of one of three Hive Busters who will squad up with a team and head into the dangerous area as they must work together to plant a bomb and then make it out alive. Gameplay will focus heavily on teamwork as well as setting up a strong defensive and offensive stance. This mode won’t be easy, but players will be able to get a preview of the game at various Microsoft stores.
