Today, the Game Developers Conference organization company, Informa Tech, announced that GDC 2022 will return as an in-person event after two years of virtual shows.
The event went digital after COVID-19 restrictions heightened and multiple countries implemented travel restrictions. GDC 2022 will take place from March 21 through March 25 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The company has not revealed plans to offer a virtual presentation and instead opted to only focus on the in-person aspect of the event.
GDC 2021 officially began today hosting virtual live streams for attendees to watch along with digital presentations. There’s a quick turnaround between events as deadlines for submissions of GDC 2022 have been set for August 31, submissions will open on August 3.
