2D Action Platformer ‘Ganryu 2’ Gets April Release Date on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC
PixelHeart and Just For Games announced that the Storybird Studio-developed 2D action platformer, Ganryu 2, will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on April 22, 2022.
The publisher has confirmed that pre-orders for the physical version on PS4 and Switch will open soon. The physical version of the game comes with exclusive artwork and the entire game on the disc/cartridge.
Ganryu 2 tells the story of Musashi after his victory against Kojiro. He attempts to get in touch with his artistic side, but was contacted during one of his meditations by a spirit that told him, “Miyamoto Musashi, our fight is not over, I am waiting for you to finish our fight once and for all! All of Japan will pay for your insult! I’m waiting for you Miyamoto Musashi!” So, Musashi sets off and is ready to fight.
Ganryu 2 is a 2D platformer and a sequel to the Visco-developed game, Ganryu, which was released on NeoGeo in 1999. Players assume the role of Miyamoto Musashi and travel through 17th century Japan fighting everything that comes in his way. Players will have access to various attacks and skills along with special abilities to get past some pretty intense boss encounters.
