Gal Guardians: Demon Purge to Receive Physical Release on PS4, PS5, and Switch Next Month; Collector’s Edition Available

PQube announced they will publish the physical release of the Inti Creates-developed Gal Guardians: Demon Purge on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in the West on June 15, 2023.

The publisher has confirmed that game will be available as a standard release on each platform, but there’s also a Collector’s Edition available, which contains:

• A special Collectors Edition Box
• A Physical copy of ‘Gal Guardians: Demon Purge’
• Origami Paper based on Maya’s special ability
• A keyring featuring the Kamizono sisters
• A set of 5 A6 artcards
• A 40 page Artbook containing beautiful character art and game scenes
• A holographic acrylic standee with Shinobu and Maya in their demon-hunting attire
• A set of 5 ‘Gal Guardians: Demon Purge’ stickers

This “gothic-horror-inspired adventure “tells the story of two demon hunters named Shinobu Kamizono and Maya Kamizono, who rise to challenge the demon castle that appeared where their school used to be. During gameplay, players will switch between the two characters on the fly to access their unique abilities. This mechanic is crucial for taking on platforming sections and boss encounters. Fans of Inti Creates will know these characters as the stars of Gal*Gun: Double Peace. 

Further, the game features a 2-players co-op mode where players can play simultaneously. There are also various difficulty options called the “Style System,” but players can expect a challenge for veteran players. The title is influenced by classic Castlevania entries, too.
