G-LOC Air Battle Joins Sega Ages Lineup Later This Month on Switch
Sega announced that the combat flight simulator G-LOC Air Battle will launch as part of the SEGA Ages line up on Nintendo Switch on April 30.
G-LOC Air Battle initially released in 1990 and has since been ported to various consoles. Based on the arcade release, G-LOC Air Battle on Switch has been enhanced with several new features. Players will find that scores actually matter with online rankings and leaderboards available. The release also has an overlay meant to recreate the feeling of the original hydraulic-powered arcade cabinet with a moving cabinet display along with other screen options. Players will also be able to increase the difficulty with AGES Mode, which adds more enemies, more missiles, and a more powerful lock-on system. However, there are also additional options that make the game a bit easier.
During gameplay, players will fly through the sky and take on various missions to destroy enemy pilots. Given that the release is based on the arcade version, you have to worry about losing too many quarters as you improve your pilot skills.
Sega Ages is a line up of classic Sega titles made available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. G-LOC Air Battle will cost $7.99 at launch.
