Furi Announces New Character DLC & Native PS5 Port; Both Launching in 2 Weeks

Developer The Game Bakers has announced that their boss rush experience, Furi, will be receiving a new paid DLC on May 17, 2022. Titled “Onnamusha,” this DLC lets players control the Onnamusha Rider, a fighter who can switch between swift and slower but lethal stances.

Speedrun, Story, and Practice modes will all be playable with this new character. Further, the title will receive a free update on all platforms to ensure everyone has access to previous free and paid content.

Emeric Thoa, the game Creative Director, shared the following statement regarding this DLC’s creation:

“We read all the messages from Furi players and this one really stuck with us: “I wish I could forget Furi to discover it all over again”. This is how we got the idea of the Onnamusha fighter that brings a completely different playstyle with a layer of tactics.

Moreover, Furi will be getting a native PlayStation 5 port on the same date as the DLC’s launch, May 17, 2022. There has been no word on whether the Xbox Series X|S will boast a native port.
