Full Circle Announced as PS1-Inspired JRPG From Peru-Based Studio 2nd Player Games

Publisher Deck13 Spotlight and Peru-based developer 2nd Player Games have announced their story-driven JRPG Full Circle, inspired by the role-playing games of the original PlayStation era.

The game is currently in development for PC via Steam and unspecified consoles. Additional details are expected during Gamescom 2026 this August.

Set in a post-apocalyptic future, Full Circle takes place in a world where humanity escaped to floating cities in the sky after the surface became overrun by mutated creatures. Players follow a group of young heroes raised to protect humanity’s last refuge, but matters aren’t quite so simple.

The battle system features turn-based combat with real-time mechanics. During battles, players can chain attacks together through precision inputs. The system also allows players to switch between active and reserve party members mid-battle.

Players will encounter characters capable of deploying turrets, hacking machines, taming creatures, and manipulating environmental elements.

Party customization is another major focus. Players can build teams using four active and four reserve members while experimenting with equipment, character synergies, and different combat roles. Outside of battle, Full Circle features exploration, the option to tame creatures, and engagement in optional quests.
