Fuga: Melodies of Steel Receives Large Update With Quality-of-Life Improvements

CyberConnect2 announced that Fuga: Melodies of Steel has received a large quality-of-life update available now for players.

The update includes Retry Mode to help players get to the true ending. This starts the game from Chapter 7 with all sacrificed children revived and their stats carried over. Further, Turbo Mode is available to double the game speed, and a new menu lets you check the enemy’s status from the formation screen.

Lastly, Save Data Bonuses are available for those planning to play Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2.

The bonuses include:

  • Nostalgic Outfits – Have existing save data.
  • Set of Items – Have existing save data.
  • Jukebox – Have Normal Ending save data. Allows you to switch between soundtracks.
  • Commemorative Photo – Have True Ending save data.

The gameplay is Fuga has players follow an order of actions. In the game, the player’s arsenal is a tank with a Machine Gun that can delay an enemy’s turn, Cannon, which weakens enemy armor, and Heavy Cannon, which does heavy damage. Players will be able to position their characters within each turn, and, depending on the character; there will be a special effect. Special effects include Heavy Shot, Armor Break, Multi-shot, and more, and this differs from character to character. At the end of each battle, players will be ranked.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Windows Store, and Epic) on May 11, 2023.
