Developer CyberConnect2 has announced that both entries of the ongoing Fuga Melodies of Steel series have been downloaded a cumulative 300,000 times worldwide. It’s worth emphasizing that this does not mean sales since the titles have been available on Game Pass, so this feat is taking those downloads into account, too.
Fuga is incredibly niche, causing it to face severe difficulties with sales and such, but it’s nice that it’s managing to reach a vaster crowd, even if gradually. In May 2023, the developer announced that the first entry achieved 200,000 downloads worldwide.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 takes place one year after the previous game. Though the children had celebrated their victory, the war didn’t end. Half of the original crew is trapped within the Taranis, and it goes on a rampage spreading destruction all over. Now the ones left behind will join Vanilla, the daughter of Gasco, and board its counterpart, the tank Tarascus to avoid even more tragedy and save their friends. The infamous Soul Cannon, which sacrifices a party member for immense temporary power, will also return.

If you missed the news, the Fuga Melodies of Steel producer recently left CyberConnect2. Despite the message being released during April Fool’s, it is indeed legitimate.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 1 and 2 are available worldwide on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, Windows Store, and Epic Games Store).
