Fuga: Melodies of Steel Sells 100,000 Units Worldwide; Sequel Release Date Arriving 2023, Development Final Phase

Famitsu has announced that the CyberConnect2-developed turn-based RPG, Fuga: Melodies of Steel, has sold over 100,000 units worldwide across all platforms. This achievement is significant since this title has suffered from low sales since its initial release. So, congrats to the developer, and here’s hoping that future games perform well.

Additionally, the staff has been working on various improvements to Fuga 2’s mechanics. They have collected comments from players around the world regarding what could be improved, discussing them in detail with each other.

Furthermore, the team has plans to release a major-scale update for the first Fuga game in the Spring of 2023. However, not much information was elaborated about the contents of this update other than adding a feature to check the status of the enemy when you enter tactical mode.

Lastly, Fuga 2’s development was confirmed to be in its final phase, with the release date set to announce next month, January 2023. We’ll be sure to keep you all updated with any notable announcements.

UPDATE: New information on the game will release on January 26, 2023, including a trailer and the release date.
