Fuga: Melodies of Steel Gets Two New Videos Exploring the Basics of its Battle System

CyberConnect2 has shared two new videos of their upcoming RPG Fuga: Melodies of Steel, which is also their first self-published title. The videos give us a better look at its battle system and how to apply strategy to formations and exploiting enemy weaknesses.

First up is a video on formations. Fuga has a group of children fighting against the Berman Army and each of them has a different skill set. Depending on the enemies the player finds along the way, it’s important to reorganize the party during battles and pick those who are more advantageous to deal with the encounter. Battles include six characters divided into three duos.

By picking attacks that are strong against the enemy, the player will be able to delay their turn, reducing their hits and possibly even avoiding them altogether sometimes. Keeping an eye on the timeline at the top of the screen will be important to gauge the opportunities and evaluate the risks of combat.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam and Epic Store) on July 29, 2021. In case you missed them, check out our preview of the game as well as our interview with the developers.
